Building permits and construction development: Is there movement - also in the county of Bentheim?

Overview at federal level

According to Der Spiegel, the number of building permits in Germany rose significantly in the first half of the year: At around 110,000 apartments, 2.9 % more were approved than in the same period last year (an increase of around 3,100 apartments) Ems Vechte Welle Der Spiegel.

The Federal Statistical Office confirms this trend and also notes an overall increase of 1.9 % in approved apartments for January to May 2025. In detail: single-family homes rose by 14.3 %, while two-family homes fell by 7.9 % and multi-family homes by 1.6 % Federal Statistical Office. Overall, therefore, there are signs of recovery, particularly in individual residential construction - even if certain categories are in decline.
